Today is the second day of intermediate examination in Bihar. Maths exam will be held in the first shift from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm and Political Science, Foundation Course exam will be held in the second shift from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. Students will have to enter the examination hall 30 minutes before the exam starts. After this, entry will not be allowed.
On the first day of the exam on Friday, 81 students were expelled from all over the state. At many places, students reached 1-2 minutes late than the scheduled time, but they were not allowed to go inside. In Samastipur, students who reached 1 minute late were not allowed to go inside. The angry students first pleaded with the administration, but when there was no hearing, they started creating a ruckus at the main gate. When the students tried to forcefully open the gate, the police resorted to lathicharge to control the situation.
Many students were seen jumping over the wall when they were not allowed entry at Janakdhari School examination centre in Danapur, Patna. When some students reached the centre after the examination started, they were not allowed entry. Some students who jumped over the wall said that they were late due to traffic.
Exams were held at 1677 centres in Bihar
This time 12,90,213 students are appearing in the exam. These include 6,41,847 girl students and 6,50,466 boy students. Around 1677 centers have been set up in the entire state. Which is 150 more than last time. The education department is alert about paper leak and any kind of disturbance. Tight security arrangements have been made.
The board itself is monitoring the exam to ensure that there is no malpractice. CCTV cameras have been installed in every centre. The board office has been made its control and command centre. According to the guidelines of Bihar Board, if anyone crosses the boundary during the exam, a case will be registered against him.
Entry with shoes and socks may be banned after February 5
Due to cold, the board has given permission to wear shoes and socks. Students can come to the center wearing shoes and socks till 5 February. The weather will be reviewed once after 5 February. No electronic items or watches are allowed. Watches with needles are allowed. Apart from hall ticket and pen, nothing is allowed to be carried to the center. Water bottles without wrappers can be carried.
More than 75 thousand students appeared in Patna exam
A total of 75,917 students will appear in the Intermediate examination in Patna district. These include 37,174 girls and 38,743 boys. A total of 85 centres have been set up in the capital. Board Chairman Anand Kishore said that ‘Every student has been issued a unique ID. Question papers in all subjects will be available in 10 set codes.’
Identity card is necessary in case of any discrepancy in the admit card
This time a new arrangement has been made by the board. Under this, if the admit card of any student is left at home or is lost on the way, then he/she will not be stopped from appearing in the examination. In such a situation, the students will be allowed to appear in the examination after matching the photo with the attendance seat.
Apart from this, if there is any mistake in the photo on the admit card, even if it is blurry, students will not be stopped from appearing in the exam. Aadhar card and PAN card will have to be kept with you as proof.
Control room for complaints of disturbances
A control room has been set up by the board to monitor the examination. This control room will be functional from 1 February to 15 February at 6 pm. To prevent any kind of disturbance in the examination and to complain about rigging, the board has also issued 2 numbers (0612-2232257 or 0612-2232227).
